We easily burn 3m3 a month of well seasoned mixed hardwood, likewise our stove is on 24/7, (a Charnwood County 12), it’s our only heating but whilst our roof is well insulated I reckon our walls are effectively transparent to heat!

Ha ! I have an 8kw Villager too, great woodburner. Sounds like you need to look at draught proofing and insulating your house, then getting your Larch drier and shutting the burner down some more ? Thanks for the feedback though.

House is pretty chilly actually, on account of it being a 200 year old farm workers cottage. It's a linear house too, one room following another, with a corridor, so hard to heat.

The stove is fully shut down at all times (once well lit). It's just the being on constantly thing that eats the fuel. The larch is standing deadwood too, so bone dry.

Onto a crazy mix of arb waste and sawmilling off cuts for a month or so - birch, elm, conifer (in small amounts), cherry, maple - the list goes on!

Can i just ask you to kindly not make unfounded, un factual comments like this. This comment appears to sound as if Darren Spencer the sole trader is charging VAT. This is wrong. Please, in future get your facts straight. Thank you.
