A good solid base covered with thick sawdust and Yorkshire boarding type sides with a curved insulated steel roof and you will have no problems. Felling trees when the wood has no sap in also helps with season times.

 

Barns in the shade with loads of concrete walls are rubbish and the wood will grow mushrooms.

Funny enough, i was chatting to a guy today and might be able to get to get some IBC frames for free!

 

If the frames are not the fine mesh type then just line them with either chicken wire or windbreak plastic mesh.
