i looked at an ex mod honda on ebay the other day, and i think that had something fitted that i have only ever read about in forestry comm. technical reports, a chassis centrally mounted hitch, where there is bar that travels to the center point on the atv frame so towing load isnt put on the back axle. i will try and find a picture, i guess this would be quite important if your atv was towing a big load regularly

So how little do you guys want to pay for a trailer like that? We could easily build them. Except I would galvanise the whole unit...

i will wait till you have made them, cant shift them and then buy them in the sale! :151:

i cant see that they are that hard to make, the most difficult bit will be the swing boom on the winch surely? i would be more interested if it was set up so i could also be towed on the road, as its not always you want to use the atv, but this might just mean being supplied with two sets of tyres?

i will have a think about cost seriously and pm you

Cheers

Tho I like the relative simplicity of the wire operated crane, I'm seriously considering about the hydraulic version. The main reason for this is I think it may be more efficient for moving brash onto stools, as well as loading the trailer. I know neither of these are particularly quick, but its the saving of my back I'm thinking of. Of course price is going to be an over-riding issue too.
