Hi Jon. Where did you go? Out with the mendip farmers. Or are you in south west wilts country?

 

My father in law was at South west wilts kennels for 10yrs

Do you know many people from the south west wilts :thumbup::thumbup:

Yup went to the local hunt meet, plenty of mulled cider before everyone arrived lol 50 horses and atleast 1000 if not more supporters. Dad stopped by in his ambulance, poor bugger has been on days over xmas and it now on nights new years eve hahaha

Hi shavey I have hunted with the wilts nearly my whole life so about the past 20 years. I know a lot of people there yes. How long ago was he there?

He was there 1969-1979 and I've heard several stories and a few characters that always get mentioned Gordon wing, john snook and Charlie Riggs

I've not heard of Charlie Riggs but knew Gordy well. Unfortunately he passed away last year very peacefully. He didn't wake from his afternoon nap. And I know John snook very well. He has only recently stopped following the hunt due to ill health but I often see him in the pub and he tells me about the glory days of hunting.

Yes we went up too Gordon's funeral and caught up with a lot of people David Barnett always enjoyed a glass or two of Guinness up at copper ridge with Gordy sadly my wife's mother and father are buried in Motcombe not far from Gordon

But when you see john ask him about Bill lock :thumbup::thumbup:
