Are any of them chainsaw proof?:001_huh:

I doubt it. I would rather wear the magnums and not be knackerd at the end of the day, Never found a pair of climbing boots that are flexable with a good heel for spiking, cool in the summer warm in the winter. That dont take 20 minutes to lace up. Always found the souls so thick that when I was climbing I couldnt judge the grip I had or gain extra purchase on small branches with out snapping draw shoots. Ive got about 4 pairs of old climbing boots in the loft and thats where they ll stay, Magnums all the way:thumbup1:

Scarpa pro ascents are massively rated as top climbing boots and will last a while. For me none of the chainsaw protection boots are that good for climbing as they are just to big and cumbersome but out of them all the meindl airstreams are the best I've worn. I had the tango gronnel climbersboofs but they just fell apart with wearing them, the sole wore out inabout 3 months. I've now go the salewa approach boots, stupidly light full goretex vibram soles. Wonder how well they will last though....
