A slight derail here, Dave are you hand felling all of those? and what happened to the Orchard? seems really sad that they are all going, that must of been a lot of jobs.

we are hand felling 30 achers over 3 years ,they have to be pruned first to take all the brush off then felled then grubbed ,lot of work thats why i aint letting it go cheap! all the land is being replanted, the picture with my hand in it ,the trees were horrendously prued thats why they are comming up. all 5000 of them!!!!

I want to burn it not eat it:001_tt2: and even though it is apple I still dont see how it can be 150% more expensive than ash (allegedly the King of firewood) or am I missing something. A mate of mine paid £30 per ton for apple and pear mixed earlier this year, from Wheldons of Sudbury when they grubbed up some of their orchards.
