I think the HD hero is looking good so far!! What the comparison of viewing angles?

 

The drift was exceptionally wide which made it good for tree work, but probable doesn;t need to be quite so wide.

 

I think I read the the HD hero is wider than the old (non HD) ones. And the film footage I hav eseen looks good.

 

Anyoen got any treework footage from the HD Hero yet?

Hi Rupe,

 

Angles of the lens are defendant on what level of high def you shot in. I shot at 720 so i can use the 170' angle just like the drift. I have played around using some of the other settings and not a noticeable difference.

The best thing i have noticed is it's really fast at changing it's aperture to light unlike the drift which could sometimes leave shots darkish.

 

Hope this helps. Also its quite good a tag teaming them up on jobs. Planning to strap the drift to the rigging lines, somehow.
