go for the bigger 1, get a handle put on it, makes them seem easier to carry, yes heavier but getting a turfor in and out a vehicle with cables and strops is a bit of a work out, so might aswell have 1 that will do pretty much anything you come across.

We got a T516. Brilliant piece of kit. Granted they are heavy pieces of kit but they are easy to set-up. We also have a T535. We sometimes use them in tandem when we are doing massive trees (which is rarely). But we mainly use the 516.

Lay the cable out and the feed the end into an old tyre.

Wheel the tyre along and it picks up the cable.

The springyness of the cable keeps it inside the tyre.

Easy way to transport and store the cable. :001_smile:

I might put that in my useful stuff section on the website sounds like a top tip to me.

We always had three in the shed of various sizes, our cables had pinched ends on them so we could pull them out of the body when not in use and the cage was kept seperate from the body.

Like the tip with the tyre tho' Top marks!
