This bullet was found by me in a crevice of a horse chestnut tree, it was live and believed to be an anti tank bullet, anyone else found odd or interesting things in trees. Yes i am bored.

Here ya go, some buts I kept from my time in Berlin.

The shrapnel was a novelty in the beginning but that soon became real tiresome.

Bomb casing was bad enough but the worst was the blast damage masonry taking the chrome off the tooth.

We have from left to right

Chunk of oak with a smooth bore round embedded in it.

One smooth bore round (flattened by impact from the same tree)

Three bits of WW2 shrapnel

One copper jacketed small calibre round

One penny coin for scale

How long is it and what diameter are the bullet and shell case?

The bullet is 6" long , diameter is the same as a 1 pound coin. On the firing pin end it reads "ks 43"

Sounds similar to one I have that grandad fired during WW2 on a training exercise (and dug the bullet back out of the steel sheets at the end of the range) from a Boyes Anti Tank Rifle but mine says K 39 W,I on the base.
