Hedge Trimming Prices

I can compete quite comfortably with the gardener type hedge trimmer, even if he is charging half of what I charge. Cos invariably they are not doing a good job, they take far longer to do the same amount and they usually will only take two bin liners of arisings away to comply with the local tip regulations, so they leave the rest for the clients to dispose of????? So in reality there is no real competition, ok there's always the old boy who'll do it for a fiver, but tbh i don't want his clients anyway.

I charge full price for hedges, I have about 6k invested in "hedge" gear. One of which takes 2 guys 5 days. We take about 20 cubes of mulch off them every few years.

Lots of confirmation that hedging can be well paid but the OP was asking for advice on the pricing of jobs :-)

dont forget, alot more tiring on body than tree work, seme few muscles doing repeditive work all day

good thing about hedges (even though i hate doing them) is they are pretty regular repeat business, especially if you can be flexible on when you do it (august is great when other work can be a bit on the slow side)
