i took down quite a large cherry with handsaws whilst i ran my landscaping business... realised through common sense there must be a better way, did the research, got me tickets, now at uni... rang round the yellow pages to get experience when i first started and the rest is history

did my apprentiship in bricklaying, but have worked outside since i was a kid working with my father cutting trees or hedge laying using saws mainly to collect firewood and wood do it all again!

Got a couple of days here and there for a mate who was a climber and never looked back (except a year and a half giving a back injury a break).

 

Bloody great job, but as for the best job in the world.... Reckon Jeremy Clarckson, Richard Hammond, and James May have that sewn up!

It was either this or being a pro footballer. Couldnt be doing with all that money and flash cars and photos in paper with supermodels. So chopping trees it was.

Got a holiday job as a brash rat for an Uncle who been taught by his Dad in the 30's and decided that Uni was not for me. Seventeen years later was MD of the company employing about 12 people and it went sour. Went to work for GreenMech so you could say that I've been in the timber trade since 1982!
