Is it compulsory to work 220 days a year ??

No, not at all. Anyone who is self employed can choose when they want or don't want to work. I personally like the idea of a 3 day working week leaving 2 days for servicing and quoting. However, I am only young and like the idea of building up a company capable of 100k and upwards per annum much much more.

if you are working 220 days a year but you are only getting payed for 150 of them ( 70 days servicing/pricing) 150 days @ £450 per day = £67500 - under the vat limit, no vat to charge. :001_smile:

The vat limit was £67000. Is it 70k now????

Either way, I thought that when you get that close to the threshold that you should be voluntarily vat registered just in case????

Ive no idea darren i thought it was 70K, but the figures were all hypothetical to show that you can be charging £450 a day and still not vat registered as it all depends on how many days you work.

if i got away with it id work one a year
