Hi all, What do you think of this then? Longleat staff have been forced to retire, nearly thirty staff have to go. The manager has been accused of prejudice against the older staff, as no one young has lost their job. Its not good, i know the foresters well, one has to go. Jon:thumbdown:

And for the jocks,

30 old guys got thepunt fae the zoo, the manager is a pure donkey, not cool man:thumbdown:

That's grim news, I've chatted with some of them over the past few years when I've done CS units at Longleat. At least one of the old guys is a second generation forester on the Estate.

I hope the managament regret their decision and we have enough big storms through the winter for them to be offered their jobs back.

No company should be forced to keep on staff it can ill afford which if they did have to it would risk ALL the jobs, as for ageism in who’s selected getting shot of the older people its the most obvious thing to do, as they are the people who if they got shot of all the younger people they would be forced to replace sooner and retrain there replacements unlike if the older people go.
