  1. Right I have a Palax KS35 ergo and I have been hiking about making fabricating something that could run off the tractor electric supply like a 12v fan that can catch and blow the sawdust into bulk bags. Has anyone done this before? Kinda surprised this is not an option from Palax. It may seem nuts but how do you guys bag your sawdust? I can easy get rid of it if bagged just need an easy solution to bag it.
  2. Yes I was! They did well to edit it as when he asked how my yard was I said c**ting!!!
  3. You fire through anytime Kyle! Got some stuff to show you!
  4. On the plus side I made it into this months Earthmovers magazine! Front page, editorial and a four page spread!:thumbup1:
  5. The water was 1 foot approx inside the digger cab and it was 1.5 meters deep at the highest pint of land in the yard!
  6. Pretty much what was left of the shed!
  7. Had a lot of firewood cut and split which either off down the river or was left wet and covered in silt.
  8. Sooo here goes on Stephen Blairs request! Storm frank found me with a 6 am phone call to say come and get the stuff out of your yard its filling with water! So I managed to get the tractor and processor disconnected from the log deck and got it out the yard. I couldn't get the digger out the yard it was too deep at the gate so I had to get it on to the trailer whist it wasn't connected under water and in the dark with no ramps. I had no choice but leave it! The picture shown shows the water at its peak you can make the digger out sitting on the trailer and my friend Normans county in the distance. You shouldn't see the county as there should be an artic load of firewood sitting there but it decide to make like a tree and leave! Not to be seen again!
  9. Like you I am also going to be in the forestry journal!
  10. One has winter tyres which makes a big difference and I have only just got the newer transit so it still has normal tyres and the difference is night and day!
  11. Over 200 tons a year but wood is a sideline for the winter months also clear roads for the council and do my digger work landscaping too
  12. That's the ideal be quirky and folk might remember. It cost nothing and if it sells 1 load of wood then it's worth it surely?
  13. Anyone made a video to advertise? Made this last winter but need to make a new one since I bought my own processor and the set up has changed a bit! Did it using the iMovie app on my iodine and proved popular!
  14. I use a Palax processor with a kefri log deck powered by a John Deere 6520 and loaded with a JCB 8018 and grapple delivered with 2x mk7 transit tippers and an Ifor Williams caged sided tipping trailer.
  15. I sue transit tipper (currently x2) and a tipping Ifor Williams trailer as a unit (truck and trailer) I can deliver 8.5 cubic meters in one delivery.

    Prices

A "load" of your truck is 1.3 so say your customer decides to try my wood a "load" in my truck is 2.5 so some folk can't tell if they are getting a good deal or what they are getting but a cubic meter is a cubic meter. So I would advise (I may be wrong) but sell it by the cube.
  17. What's the best net size to be used in conjunction with a Palax Packer?
  18. Heras fencing panels will do you Tom! Just like what you saw at my yard!
  19. Not sure at the minute looking for a pallet load the now then see how many and aglow fast I can shift them!
  20. Hi, looking for a wholesale kindling supplier that can deliver to me. I am based in Ballater Aberdeenshire.
