Forget tv switch on to Radio

When we got married, 8 years ago we decided not to have a TV.

The only time it's been missed is when Liz would have watched the olympics...

 

Radio is sound. (bum bum!) Radio 4 most of the time - early morning current affairs and early evening comedy are great. (as already said)

 

I can't stand the 'dramas' that you hear 10mins of when driving around then hear the same section again another day.

 

Daytimes in the van the ipod's on...

 

We spend the TV license fee on DVD boxsets of the likes of 24, Spooks, Law & Order, NCIS etc.

 

Watch an episode, turn it off and talk. It's better for everyone

I listen too radio 4 or radio 2 all day when working, I have a small radio that fits inside my shirt and ear phones. I've been doing this for the last 15 years.

 

The other day I forgot to take it with me and the day really dragged.

listen to the radio alot especially on thursday and friday bbc radio 7 for the Goons, I am sorry ill read that again, the Navy Lark and Hinge and Bracket . wednesday is Hancocks Half Hour. brought up on the Goons and i have got an old LP of Tales of Old Dartmoor and Dishonoured. you cant beat the old half hour sketch shows. good clean fun. Left hand down a bit or is it right hand up. Classic.

I'm a big radio fan, when we moved into our house we didn't have a tv for about 2 1/2 years we would listen to the radio or cd's it really rekindled my love of music, the wife used to miss the soaps at first but enjoyed it eventualy, then we got a big lcd, first thing that was watched was the soaps:laugh1: I listen to radio 3 and 4 alot in the morning before work and on weekends.

When I'm out doing the log deliveries on Saturdays, it's always Classic FM or Radio 4 on in the Landie

Radio 4 / Radio 6 (DAB) all day whenever possible. Tend to start with 4 and then switch over to 6 at some point mid morning. Back to 4 for 'PM' then back to 6 before the bloody Archers.

 

Still have a TV but only watch recorded programs/downloads (ssshhh). Watch a fair bit of Iplayer as well.
