Beechwood - Tree spade to move memorial tree

We were asked to fell this memorial tree by a developer, with a bit of gentle persuasion they agreed to have it relocated within the site.

 

We employed Ruskins to move undertake the work.

 

They did an excellent tidy job

The hole was exactly the same size as the tree as it was removed using the spade the contour of the ground left the root plate slightly higher on one side which we had to do to keep the tree straight.

It was doing a bit of a wheelie!! The guys didnt look to concearned though so presumed it was normal!

I know its a memorial tree and all that, but what is the price comparison between getting that done or buying and planting a large semi mature specimen.

Thats what i was going to ask Simon, what sort of price did it cost to move it.
