We were asked to fell this memorial tree by a developer, with a bit of gentle persuasion they agreed to have it relocated within the site.

 

We employed Ruskins to move undertake the work.

 

They did an excellent tidy job :thumbup1:

Your hole wasn't deep enough :001_tt2:

 

The hole was exactly the same size as the tree as it was removed using the spade :001_rolleyes: the contour of the ground left the root plate slightly higher on one side which we had to do to keep the tree straight.

I know its a memorial tree and all that, but what is the price comparison between getting that done or buying and planting a large semi mature specimen.

 

Simon did you use that thingy ma bob to measure the hight or is it in your office like it was in mine :lol::thumbup:

Thats what i was going to ask Simon, what sort of price did it cost to move it.
