The owner said he planted this maple 37 years ago, I couldn't believe it really. A 'roofer' offered to reduce it some years back, hence killing the tree. Most of the leaders were dead. So the tree came down. Even did some 'Murph' pulling! Klink klink.

 

(The 'roofer' also f*&$%d up the roofing as well!)

Finally got round to finishing the totally rubbish Beech tree. All the wood moved to one place in the yard and was all hand balled onto the truck. Off site at 8:30pm as they wanted it cleared for the Easter weekend.

 

that looks like a horrible bit of wood to deal with!my commiserations

Pics from my mate, from a job I would have been involved in had things been different for me, and Crossbill chicks to be rung for the RSPB, Rendlesham Forest.

The Cedar butt is approx 7feet wide, at its widest and slightly oval, so 4feet at its narrowest point.
