I had a feeling that would be picked up on, especially by eagle eyed Steve!

re pollarding riverside alders at the Mill at Gordelton Hotel and Restaurant

95% tip tied and rigged down as whole stems. regrowth stem diameter circa 6 inches so nothing had to be snedded out and could go straight through the chipper. regrowth circa 25-30ft. lots of decay in the tops around the base of the regroth, but had 2 pulleys sharing the load most of the time

spilt the climbing with alex

bacon sandwiches and tea served at 10

had this nice job today made a change to be doing a nice bit of hedging and lighter work for a change. i got call from lady who owns this cottage as a holiday home, obviously never gets down there and was a right mess. i got asked to fell the silver birch and a yew tree and to just tidy up. so basically left to do what i thought. need to go back and cut the grass again but other than that im happy with it such a big difference. anyways some pics that sum up my day.
