Think twice about what???? Cutting the tree down?? Give over. :001_tt2:

LOL. Its normally ivy band and monitor. Im sorry but as soon as the ivy leaves drop i survey the tree for an hour or so (nesting birds, etc) then we drop it. I have ivy banded a tree and within a week its fallen over. Rather worrying when happens especially when the tree is in full leaf when you are ivy banding it.

Yeah, surprising what sins Ivy hides and what weight it holds up sometimes.

walnut reduction from today had to be careful of 4 live power wires that went straight through the middle of the tree and 1 ABC wire on the side other than that a few buildings to miss :001_rolleyes:

James, would you get the opportunity to see this tree again this year?

would be interesting to hear how it reacts (kernal wise) to the pruning.

No worries if not.

Suprised it's never succumbed to a leak from the deisel pump/tank at some point in the past.

Great, look forward to seeing how it responds.

Have the owners got a long servicable afiliation to this tree ?

Or do they just like it ?
