A bit of both really, I seem to get jobs just because i have a mill and people want the planks to use. The hardest thing is storage they take up a lot of room at my yard. But for example you get paid to fell a oak all debris to come off site you could a) turn it all into fire wood b) turn some of it into firewood and plank the rest. B every time for me:thumbup1: 1-2" boards are the easiest to sell too but i'd also buy a mini mill too.

Doesn't the capstan wear the straps where they are fed through Tim ?

you would think so ,when it was made it was made right ,the edges are so smooth ,it dont wear the straps one bit

I was going to suggest that I have seen some straps like that with like a thin outer sleeve that slides over, but if it isn't wearing it no worries, nice simple idea mate

its great ,it excelent for 50% of my rigging ,easy and fast to set up and cost me very little ,i only use it on private work tho
