Nice job mark .your employer has some awsome bits of kit!

Now for another rant on pegs!

Not a fan of pegs though apart from the odd strategically placed one!

If your climbing line does a half hitch around a peg whilst your working above, you are stuck! I have experienced and seen this many times the consequences if needing to bail out dont really bear thinking about...then there is the impaling on them if you take a swing or slip and the added bonus of a stumpy pegs bark peeling off a lot more easily and you slipping off especially on ash and sycamore i have had this happen recently and left me in agony for a few weeks!...

Pegs when rigging are nightmare and can ruin every thing!

Dont really agree that spikes make you a lazy climber either ....they make you more efficient especially doing take downs in the wet! i never really used to wear them unless taking down a pole mainly because they made my feet ache but buying a decent pair and getting used to wearing them all the time has been the way forward in my climbing i feel any way!

I got put in my place by RBtree saying that sometimes he would leave his spikes off for the fun of it, I leave them sometimes, stubs, depends really, my mate in Oz had a swing in once and broke his arm on a stub he had left.

what size wood will the chipper take marc?? looks an awsome machine!,do you still use the front mounted ducker on the mog??

Its a 20inch Vermeer, the front mounted Ducker was for another company i worked for thats a cool rig to more of a do it all rig but limited in some situation.

This is an old planting job done 3 or more years ago, you can see the final results 2 years after planting.
