BIG tree no roots:w00t:

and its not first time here on the oak trees.............when there are no fruiting bodies and the tree looks to be in good health, what causes the root rot? any ideas? A lot of the oaks here seem to have very little buttressing of the roots-many look like sticks just shoved in the ground.

dont want to cross thread, but i get called in from the council 2-3 times a year to remove a rope swing, it must be up about 50 feet on a monster oak full of regrowth(you know what a nightmare that is)it is deemed a safety issue.

If i could find the wee lad that keeps putting one back up, what a climber.

takes me a good 20 mins to get to it, its about 20 feet out a monster limb

i have to come down on to it from a higher point. cutting my way along with silky

Maybe he's got a throwline?:001_tongue:
