Found this and though it looked good, what do you guys think is their a market for this kind of machine in the UK, or is their already a machine like this in the UK?

if it works aswell as it does but i am always sceptical with these kind of things. I have seen big monster rams struggle with the smallest of knots. The wood he is splitting could be done 1 handed with a small axe lol

Looks very interesting to me. Most of my firewood for home is thinnings (sub 12 inches) - straight and clean.

 

Any idea on price?

They are a great thing on the right timber but are designed purely for straight grained timber as, as far as I'm aware, there is no hydraulics involved so it kinda relies on momentum.

 

Unfortunately I think you'd have a hard time getting it CE approvedas there's no way it can be set for two handed or alternatively guarded up to not require two handed operation.
