What a load of old twoddle, the sooner it's scrapped the better.

Why should some people receive extra dosh because they choose to have kids ? If you can't afford to have them then dont, and stop expecting the rest of us to pay for em.

sorry mate..But WTF!

Don't you think its a bot offensive to post this up?

Some people need tax credits because maybe they have kids and the husband dies..you thought about that numpty?

The tax credits, pension credits etc are in a separate "pot", its already allocated by the govt for all those who qualify. If its not used, it sits there, simples.

I qualified for credits when the kids were in education, and I used them to give mine a better quality of life, guilty as charged! I had several poorly paid jobs when they were young, b4 credits, and I have never struggled so much to make ends meet, it was hard work. There was no chance of overtime to improve my lot, i was stuck for a while in a rut, and I was bloody miserable, working and getting nowhere. I didnt fritter the money away on booze or fags, I couldnt afford them, but used the money to support my family. Low income is a bane for many people, not slackers, good honest, hard-working Englishmen, dont dismiss them as idle useless spongers

The simple answer is, pay for what you want.

Couldn't careless about putting others backs up, just dont wanna pay for other peoples indugences whether it be for kids, cars or flashy furniture. If you want it pay for it.

kids arent indulgences:001_rolleyes: jeez Mick, you were a kid once as was everyone you have ever known or cared for. I agree with you, some will use the tax credits for other things, but this is a tiny percentage that make it harder for others to get by. It isnt all Jeremy Kyle and plasma tellies, i have lived a VERY charmed life, my dad was never a high earner but i was brought up well and looked after, i was surrounded by good people. It takes a tribe to bring up kids not just parents. If i was naughty there was always another set of eyes on me, even now at 35 running my own business and a father of 2, i still watch what i am saying or doing incase it gets back to my parents:laugh1:

I used to be the most ignorant person, ranting about free loaders and lazy people BUT i know nothing of how others live, i would see something and then ASSUME the rest and make it fit my story.

A foreign Surgeon gave my dad a new life this year by doing heart surgery, a foreign doctor saved my sons life last year by recognising a problem and getting him the help he needed, at NO cost to me. I have paid tax since i was 15, 20 years but do you think that would of covered those things, no chance. I don't even know their names, if those things cost me my house and every penny i had or could ever earn i would pay.

If we do not help kids get an education and help them go through university then where will our docotrs, lawyers, architects, engineers etc come from. We all use these people every day, whether it is getting a check up or driving down a new motorway. Come on try and see the bigger picture in life, not just the one you see in the world you have created for yourself. Help others, help your fellow man, do someone a favour with out asking for anything in return, offer a hand of friendship to a stranger and pay your couple of grand tax a year for all of this:001_smile:

I think the prob is the single guys that don't want to work.

they job centre offers them jobs and they turn them down just because ' its not there ideal job ! ' I grew up in a small town with no jobs..i buzzed of the america just to get full time work! and that was when i was 21. Nowadays everyone just blames they country they are in for not getting work instead of getting of there arses and putting the work in.

They world is your oyster!

I've paid tax for 30 years without claiming a penny from anyone. Why should I pay for everyone elses further education and those from foreign countrys :001_smile:

Those foreigners who come here specifically for uni pay a lot of money for the priviledge!:confused1:

I have a mate who's an admissions tutor. They make so much money off of foreign students that they send him off recuiting - Greece, Canada, Spain, all pretty much every year.

They actually help the uni run by paying over the odds :001_smile:
