This is a great thread, but I'm off to bed now.

Early start tomorrow. Got to go and sign on, get back in time for Jeremy Kyle, then knock a few log orders out for cash customers. Then off to the boozer.

Brilliant!

This thread is starting to get silly. There is a world of difference between working tax credits, and spongers milking the benefit system an getting everything paid for by the state. As for the old "council house" argument, well thats just rubbish these days, most have been sold off, repo'ed and now owned by landlords who milk the system themselves, forcing tenants into near bankruptcy. Too many people feel they have and know all the answers, but know sod all in reality, just what they see from behind their net curtains, which they twitch nervously in case the tattoeed chav next door sees them, or read in yesterdays Sun which happens to be blowing down their street.

Get a life!:reddy:

I`ll drink to that tomorrow after the tax credits get directly debited in !

And there was me getting all wound up by a couple of ***** that don`t quite understand the system of needy and scroungers, and i was getting ready for a explanitory explination but i really can`t be arsed because i don`t think they`ll get it !

I agree with Andy, as i understand it working tax credits was brought in as a top up to help to help them do a job, in effect with the introduction of the minimum wage it gave employers the means to abuse the system, it could be argued that any employer that doesnt pay a high enough wage for their employees to survive off is in fact having their business subsidised by the taxpayer. Sadly in some situations people are worth more at home than they are working, but its not them thats setting the wages. Victimising people for having kids is unfair i reckon, i was one once.

I don't know Mick but seems you haven't been in the situations others have, sometimes people need help calling them scroungers is just wrong mate. If I could get the money for my kids I would I will do everything non illegal to get money for them, I'd understand your point if you were complaining about people who can't be arsed to work but your talking about people who do getting a bit of their taxback if you yourself don't get none back it's all going to the scroungers you talk about
