WTF is going on in that pic with the frying pan- how long do you lot lose in a day with that lot?????????

The secret is just to be organised, as Ian says get the food on and work while it cooks, it really doesnt cost time. The aroma of pork sausages with apple and herbs really is a great incentive to pull your finger out, or a cookpot with a stew prepared the night before, a hunk of bread to mop the gravy.....awesome. A happy crew is a productive crew, its not always about the money you know (and its got to be cheaper than Mr Blairs posh caff brekkies!!)

What a shame to lose really good Oaks.

What was the reason for felling? Surely not just for oak planks?

The reason was because the client didn't get light in their conservatory between 12:30 and 1:00.

The site was quite overcrowded by these oaks plus they are adding a balcony to the house. The timber is being planked and sold by the client, the posts are to be used in the balcony as its free timber and chainsaw milling gives a very 'rustic' effect:confused1::biggrin:

James, in that last pic have you run the mini-mill in vertically with a shorter bar? Never thought of doing this, but can see the advantages straight away.

Final horizontal cut = hello posts

yes ian was with mini mill set up first, then i run along with the big mill and hello heavy posts :001_smile:
