I am well impressed.

 

I have a couple of old favorites stashed on an ammo box somewhere.

 

The loudest is called a FOX 40 which can make your ears bleed.

 

I think there is another one that came out of a cracker.

 

And there is an acme thunderer that I used to use as an 'emergency stop' on the spaniel when I used to 'push up' hedges as part of my pheasant beating duties.

hve mine within reach, could get to it hands free if needed,,,

 

instructor hammered it in that it should be reachable with no hands,,, cant remember why but it made sense at the time,,,

 

it's part of my ritual/ OCD to check it

 

made sure i can blow it with my nose in case i had a broken jaw...
