Hi all, I need a replacement for my ole 181 and looking at spec am thinking of one the two above. I need it for chogging down, ringing up, and a bit of felling in that order. I want to run two bars (20 and 30 ins) and as my puny biceps dont like big saws the 576 is looking pretty good, but will it push a 30 inch bar as claimed?

Any advice much appreciated...

I've been thinking about the very same 2 saws myself for the winter, got quite a bit of large-ish oak to ring up.started on it today with a 372 running 24",it performed well but a bigger saw wouldn't have hurt.I'd buy both if you can stretch to it,i can't at the moment :001_smile:

thanks for advice... i guess i was wondering if the much trumpeted x-torq powerhead was as good as they say, problem being i know the 390 will handle anything put in its way. but saying that the weight and reviews on the 576 where very good.yeah, 88man both would be sweet but not this year, i wish.... i'll go with the 390 i reckon, then i don't have to worry about something big coming up and not having a manly enough saw. plus if i'm climbing and need the 30 bar i don't have to mess about freeing it if it gets stuck thanks again...
