Yes a semi auto handgun is illegal but you can still own revolvers no problem. I sold a six shot .44 cap n ball a while back and you can buy these no problem, which is totally mad. The idea behind the wrist brace is so it makes it long enough to be classed as a rifle but lets face it if you wanted to go on a shooting spree the first you'd do is cut it down.

Bet that packed a punch Mick.

So whats the rules on semi/ full auto rifles then mate. As I understood it, full auto is completely illegal and semi auto is also illegal in most circumstances.

Am I right in thinking that most bolt action rifles are legal and aren't really affected by the legislation? In that there is no resriction on mag size?

no restriction on mag size unless its a shotgun, then any more than 1in the chamber and 2 in the mag and it needs to be on a FAC

semi autos in firearms are limited to .22 not even other rimfires are allowed

i have 25 round mags for my .22 so when the bunnys are numerous we can adopt a spray and pray technique

no i am joking really, i use them as when im lamping it means not having to faff about in the dark swapping mags every ten shots

Thanks for the info mate. The old spray and pray technique isn't very sportsman like is it.

I see what you are saying though. we used to go out on a quad and anything you can do to lessen the amount of times you had to try and ride and rumage in your pockets for ammo was a bonus.

Yeah there's no restriction on any bolt actions. For rapid fire I'd go for the underlever. I had to sell these two cos I stopped going to the range which really gutted me cos I loved my underlever, I could empty it really quick.

Hahaha, it's my dad's fault, he was right into cowboy weapons and so I spose it rubbed off.

The M16 is .22 rimfire semi auto with a 15 shot mag.

Could just imagine you as the sheriff in some old western Mick. Couple of old Winchester rifles on either side of your push bike:lol:

For the Ruger 10/22 grind 2 mags flat then araldite them together, Just flip it at any time and top up.

You never lose the mag and all you need is a pocketfull of loose rounds.

Ive not had any luck with the 25 round mags feeding subbies on my one.
