My trusty old steed..

Just thought some of you might be interested to see my set up.

She was built by the Sierra Morreno Mercantile Co in 1998, and has served me well since then. She’s been up the big trees of New Zealand, the oaks of France and the mighty Eucs of Southern Spain.

I ain’t gonna answer anything about LOLER/H&S VT’s alternative methods etc. This is what I use to do the job and I like it.

I am posting it because some people might find it interesting as she is becoming a bit of an antique, and was imported from the States in the first place. Theres a couple of loops for hanging gear on but they slid out of shot round the back.

Loving it mate I still have my first harness which I pulled out of a skip when I was 16, was chucked by a firm I worked for was boer wrong with it! Might put in a glass case when I'm an owld man with me first climbing saw so I can remember the good old days

That flash little number above is my second harness, I dug the first one out the garage, while I was doing the photos and here it is, I like the glass case idea. Still have my first rope too but haven't downloaded the photo yet, I use it for tieing the ladders on now.

didn't get it from a skip though, my boss lent it to me, but seem to still have it:blushing:
