Dean, I value and respect peoples opinion's, in work and life, but I am rarely influenced and always do my own thing regardless.

I have the same sort of values Reg, but if there was anyone in tree work I would be influenced by it would be you, I hold your technical skills in very high regard.

I think the risk is about as high as someone tripping over and gouging his eye out on one of my LDs, one of the fairleads perhaps. Having said that, I dont want people to feel uncomfortable with the products in any way, or thereafter feel obliged to start making modifications of their own

The stakes are made of 16mm round bar with a rounded end, the ones in the vid were actually a small box section made out of some off-cuts that I had lying around. If its no trouble I'll ask the engineer to fold the ends of the bar over so its like an upside-down U.

Reg, all this discussion is good for sales and awarness and none if it is meant as critisism. Its a great product.

Comparing it as similar to one of your LD's in terms of risk is nonsensicle!

Your LD's are fixed to a tree and stay there. The risk, as I see it, of this product is that it moves around the site, so you could walk backwards looking at the reduction your mate is doing only to find the the groundie has left the trolley on the lawn behind you, you fall backwards roll over to save your self and lose an eye on the stake on the far corner of the thing, ouch!

Again, I am only saying what I see. If you can get the engineers to roll the ends over then please do so.

I look forward to seeing it on friday.

she is impressed with the new found girth, it fits the slot so much better now, read it quick Rob coz iam going to edit this asap:lol:

I didn't think nails were known for the girth. :001_tongue: Surely a bend just makes it difficult when your hammering it in?

wicked looking and very practical bit of kit - looked at the log ox's sack barrows wheeled barrows but they only cart wood, i constructed a small timber trailer for the quad but it isnt as narrow as this. Will be having a good look at the APF with a future view to purchasing. Nice one.

Very handy item i have used the garden trolley from machine mart for moving branches and it was very handy but had its limitations.

I will be very interested in having a look at this, but it depends on price.

Of course it was nonsensical Rupe, I was kidding, I thought the eye gouging part would have given that away, please credit me for not being a total simpleton. I thought we'd moved on from this....did you read how the post ended? Guys cant co-ordinate themselves to walk backwards on a tree-site....I am at a loss for words, no offense brother:thumbup1:
