Just had an update, dog is still at vets and has had to have a 2 inch by 1 inch section of its tongue removed because the tissue was dead, he is at the moment being fed through a tube and being kept sedated.

The vet has said that it should not affect the dogs ability to drink water etc.

The dog owners still don't know, I've just been talking to my mate who is quite frankly cacking himself has to how he is going to break the news.

I'd be cacking myself at what the et bill is going to be :scared:

my old business partner told me a story once how a bloke he worked weekends with used to bring his dog on jobs with him. one day my mate had taken the whole tree down and was left with just the stump. as he was cutting it down low the dog came running up to the tree and the end of the bar caught him in the head, spinning the dog off into a bush. They thought he would be dead but he was shaking and cowering in the bush with half his head missing.

Luckily the dog survived and can still be seen in swansea (staffy) with its scars.

just goes to prove the saying never work with kids or animals.
