Buying a house near a church is no different to buying a house next to woodland then moaning about trees. Sit out in the garden with a cup of tea and enjoy them.

 

On a positive note, you could even join the bell ringers association and get ringing yourself and have the satisfaction of knowing how many people you are annoying

 

I'd just buy some earplugs :biggrin:

yeh the norman tower andy...

i know it's been there for 100's of years but i can't help getting annoyed. it sounds like if mr blobby's voice was translated into bell form. its just horrible!

bells were used back in the day to call people to the church to prayer. now people have clocks and watches so what is the point?!

oh well, they seem to have stopped.

Reckon it's a case of "choose your poison" sadly, we're lucky if we make it to 4 or 5 o clock down this way before the bloody gulls start on mass, if you live int country it'll be farmers/dawn chorus and so on, which is the lesser of two evils so to speak:biggrin:
