Time to make it full-time

Not many of you may know this, but I have been teaching maths for the past 17 years.

 

Set up the tree surgery business 5 years ago and have been doing ok for an old part-timer.

 

Lost my job on Friday!

 

Don't have a case against them, very clever constructive dismissal.

 

Well, guys and gals, I'm full time into the tree surgery and you know what, I feel great.

 

And I've got work..thank god.

Good for you, i hope you do well. Its hard times to be going full time and done expect to make the same amout of money as teaching straight off but its a far better job IMO

Good attitude mate, good luck with it. So many people resign themselves to the dole queues when they lose their jobs lately. Good to have something to fall back on. Losing your job might be the best thing that ever happened to you.

hope it works for you, when i sold up my last business and went full time i was just hoping it would work out, its going ok now but i'm thinking i might need a new tent soon and am starting to panic a bit in case i cant afford, also i think the landowner will find me living in his wood one day..

Cheers Guys, that's what my 2 brothers who have their own business said. It's the kick I need. I know I can make it through the winter and I have been helped recently by a couple of arbtalk members. Won't mention their names as I might embarass them, but they know who they are and know I appreciate every job

A similar thing happened to me two years ago - well paid job with perks. Much happier now.

You will do alright, won't make your millions, but eventually be way better than before. Oh a piece of advise... take yourself off to India ( or somewhere hot and cheap) for 6 weeks from the middle of january.. it's a lot less stress and a load cheaper.

Its about time you did some proper work . Yes I know your a grafter an all that . Might need an extra body and another climber soon . Have to organise something with all your underground contacts
