Hi everyone,

probably a stupid question, but I was reading a thread on here about pricing for freelance climbers and it said you charge more for providing a big saw (can't find the thread at the moment!)

out of interest, at what size do saws stop becoming everyday use and get classed as big? 70cc? 90+cc? Or is it just the VERY biggest - 880, 3120 etc...?

cheers,

Joe

depends what your doing, if your knocking over old growth redwoods all day then your 088 is your everyday use saw :001_tt2:

haha

we use 361's and 440's everyday, we know people who use 460's all day, so above that is what i class as a big saw, so 660 +

Big saws are over rated, you'd be surprised what you can fell with a little patients. This was done with a Husky 357 with 18 incher, was quite rotten in the middle and had a winch on it but it hit the deck either way
