one from last month back leaning hollow sycamore, had to miss the 2 fences and fell it in such a way to miss the foundations on the building plot

Yep. Bored in then just knicked the back and let her go. Didn't want it starting to go and pushing the stem I was on.

Lovely and neat. I live in fear of downward split barber's chairs in that situation that could pin you and the wire strop to the tree.

Couple that I've posted on another thread but thought I'd just go into a little more detail with some of them.

 

8 old pollarded lime trees to be felled each with there own felling cuts to match the scenario. Except for one dog tooth.

 

Ok so the dog tooth was done as a couple of the lads I was working for had no knowledge or understanding of what one was or used for, the lime I did it on was the only one with a slight forward lean on it so a decent opportunity to set it up then refuel just so they got the idea of the holding timber being left from the bore.

 

There where a couple straight fells

 

And a couple of wedge fells

 

Which one of them I had felled between two shrubs being retained. Here's a picture after we de-brashed it.

 

And a couple of Danish and split level cuts were used for back Leaners and levered over With the felling bar.
