My parents have the cottager ll from machine mart. It took some time to get the settings right but apart from that they are really happy with it. They've had it nearly three year now and would'nt go back to anything else. The build quality is excellent as well, top stuff for the money. They have a detached dorma bungalow with a central chimney and it heats the whole bungalow up in no time.

what stove did you go for in the end??

Hi all,

I have a Nestor Martin Stanford 33. It will stay burning night and day and is very efficient and easy to control. I rarely let it go out between october and march and only clean out the ash once a week. They're not cheap, but you only buy it once!

I've also been told Charnwood are very good

We've got one like niftysteve and an expensive one for our heating. The only complaint with the room heater one is with the handles they get mighty hot unlike on the more expensive one. The only other thing to think about is parts availability.
