Horse chestnut with Armillaria melea

 

Will be interesting to see next years spring flush (if at all)

 

 

in leaf shots from may last year.

out of leaf from this morning.

Got one in an identical state where I am. Looked very poorly all this year so going to see what it looks like next year before deciding what to do with it.

We're finding hispidus more and more in association with London Plane here in the Capital and across East Anglia.

 

Where we have carried out climbing inspections, there have often been cavities within the core of the trees. The outer volumes appear to be able hold off the decay apart from where the wound interface is.

Be that from pruning or storm damage.

Was it your lot doing the work?

 

on the A428 just past the Crick Marina east of J18 of the M1

 

 

Nothing to do with my team Joe, (we rarely leave the sanctuary of the M25 :biggrin:) I just clocked it whilst returning home to Suffolk from a conference near Coventry
