Been busy clearing birch off Cannock chase, about a mile away from the APF site. All the trees will be going for Biomass. The slopes dont look that bad in the pics, but believe me they are steep! We hand cut all the trees, and then the excavator drags them into tushes for the forwarder to collect. Nice site to be working on.

The extraction route is either up a very steep bank, or a windy little gully. The gully is best, as the whole trees can slide off if going up the bank...

nice work, whos it for FC? wish id known i would have poped over as its only 20 mins away and my background is in heathland/moorland restoration, were Staffs wildlife trust involved at all? as i know they do quite a bit over there

This is what happens when you forget to put the brakes on as your loading. The centre joint has a lock activated by the brake. Would have been ok if there had'nt been an old ww11 tank hidey hole next to me. Good job the excavotor was handy...

Its for Cemex quarry's. We'll be there for a few weeks yet. Pop over for a lid of tea. Were down the track opposite the tackeroo FC caravan park.

nice job ed! hope it pays for some new tyres on that forwarder!

At £1000 a piece, not likely. It doesent seem to struggle, even on the very loose gravel up the tight slope.
