You've probably seen those little metal spikes used to stop pigeons roosting on window ledges and signs etc.

 

Look what this nest is made of..:lol:

Haha, Pigeons are brilliantly lazy when it comes to next building, they just pile up a load of sticks in a fork and hope for the best, it's almost as if they play Ker-Plunk with their eggs! :biggrin:

Woodpidgeon kept building a nest in a tree overlooking my veggie patch, probably so it could just pop down for lunch.

No matter how many times i knocked out the sticks it would rebuild.

Solved it by stuffing an old white plastic football in the tree, seems to have spooked it.

I've climbed many a tree (recreationally) with pigeon nests and the pigeons sat in them looking a little startled as well as embarrassed. I think the poo-and-sticks philosophy rings true for both of them.
