Photoshoping thingy?

Hi guys a little bit of a favor can anyone turn this picture into a silhouette of the climber and the pole. I've tried for a few hours and all i can do is turn the whole thing black or grey!! but sadly this is a bit beyond me:thumbdown:

Reacon that could be hard to do,as to create a silhouette you realy need the subject dark and the background light in contrast

Can i kind of cut the photo out using photoshop then? just thought if i could i can then blacken the whole image??

Ian, this is a very quick botch job in photoshop - to do it properly would take hours of painstakingly lassooing the image to cut out the background and trace round the shape. There are lots of fiddly bits to go around.

 

If you are working in Photoshop, the magnetic lassoo tool is the one you need to work with - almost pixel by pixel to get a smooth outline. If you need any further instructions, let me know. (Sorry I don't have time to do it for you )

arbtalk resizes photos no matter what their size unless they are smaller than the maximum allowed.

 

heres what ive got so far, 10 minute job. Somehow managed to erase the left spur and part of the pole, but its not hard to redo this.
