hello,i do landscape gardening maintence etc and do alot of tree work but more in the line of hedge trimming, removel of hedges, also takeing conifers etc down or reduceing them,i have just aqired a harness, has even though i dont climb that high i think its a good option to wear a harness, rather than work of a ladder, thing i cant figure out is whats that thing i need to hold me to the tree,it connects to the harness and then like goes round the stump?so i can lean back on my harness?any information will be apreciated!:thumbup1::thumbup:

As stephen says nothing is personal on here and constructive critisms

Why not book yourself on a course for climbing called cs38/39 you will then understand what bits of kit are about, also it will teach you HOW to climb. I personally would say from this thread that you dont have alot of climbing experience and so booking on a course should be the right thing to do for your own saftey.

good luck and welcome to the site.
