Right. The comp season is here again. What's your tip for a successful/fun/awarding competition experience? The do's and don'ts? Perhaps we could even get a definitive list of things to ramble on about in the pre-assessment talk of the aerial rescue!

enjoy it! and do your best. And also wear some glass that aren't so sratched you cant see through them, wish i had of. but i enjoyed it.

Don't bother trying to do better than anyone except yourself.

 

Don't try out new techniques in the comp trees!

 

The Aerial Rescue?? Keep the climb as simple as possible. Less stress allows your brain to work on the waffle!!!

I just entered my first comp last week in Germany (jumping in at the deep end). I was given three pieces of advice by a seasoned competitor, stick to the equipment you are used, don,t worry about being nervous inside the tape, everyone is their first time and enjoy yourself. Hope this helps!

accept the nerves its all part of it,

dont use any new equipment that your not used to,

slow down-its the easiest way to be quick,

enjoy it.its not the olympics....

I noticed a few guys wearing chainsaw strides and boots in recent comp pics. This cant be adventageous can it?

 

ha! after the state of my legs after last weekends comp i was wishing i'd worn mine!
