applamatum or what?

Went for a walk in a small wood in Barnet today. (very nice it were). Lots of stacked and fallen deadwood. Was early in morn and wasnt quite awke so although i took the photos I didnt get round to looking in more detail as to what species. Is it applamatum?

It has taken me ten years to be 99% certain of idents on these two fungi, I still occasionaly have trouble, they can be very difficult to diferentiate.

 

NEVER be so certain you dont look at all the evidence, these two will make a monkey out of the best of us at times, and dont let ANYONE tell you otherwise!
