The I pad, a future in arb?

I am thinking the Ipad would be a very usefull tool on site, the ability to get detailed info on site for fungi pests and diseases, act as your portfolio of works and provide an image display for explaining technicals to clients, and even banging up large scale maps oo site if it can be GIS enabled.

 

And then god knows what apps there will be later!

 

any one got one?

I've got a slim mac book pro.......160gig, photoshop, quark, adobe reader.....light and small........dont need an ipad.......can carry this to jobs easily.

I wouldnt bother mate just get yourself an Iphone same spec plus it does more although a little smaller but does the job.

Or just get any of the million other smartphones that have been doing this stuff for years before Apple told you it was cool.

i see the ipad as a stop gap inbetween the next big thing whatever that will be. it wont be around for long IMO

The i phone does pretty much most things this does and allows you to make calls. When i saw this advertised i thought of the large phone scene from 'trigger happy tv'

an I phone just doesnt have the pressence of that pad, try sitting beside the client with your i phone!

 

i reckon its a bit of techno bling yes, but usefull bling and I am not a gadget freak!

Everyone I know who owns an iphone thinks it's great. I was not too impressed by the iPad when I first saw it. I am changing my mind though.I reckon they must be the bollox, and they compare quite well price wise...

I have a MacBook Pro. The battery life is now no more than 30 mins. Apple have always had a bit of a reputation for crap batteries. iPod is the same.....

I want an iPad. Apps make this device sooo cool. Apple did not tell me this. It seems a perfectly logical product given the Apple stable so far.

Get one man...Misplace it at your peril!
