I think using a MEWP is only satisfying when you have a challenging access problem getting the MEWP into place.

 

I got the mewp round the back of a building last year after, taking it through a 925mm wide alley, down a steep muddy footpath, then right into a gateway with just enough room to slew it round, down a 45 degree grass slope, turn right over a broken down drystone wall, then down a flight of stone steps, across a lawn, over a 1 ft wide trench which had been dug to lay a pipe, underneath 20ft of scaffolding and then set it up with one leg on a wall and another on the third step of the entrance steps.

 

Should have got a medal for that one, coming back up the steps the mewp actually did a wheelie on the back edge of it's tracks, brough it back down by extending the boom gently.

Nice one I'm in agony at the moment (i spiked down the tree and the lower part cas coverd in ivy...my feet slipped and I've pulled my back) Bugger!
