It is hard for some to face the loss, and they will go to anylengths to avoid or delay their pain and loss. this is a sad thing, but i do understand the motives, pain is a hard thing to take. I lost my buff this year as some of you know, that is still raw, i could have had him on meds at 20 30 40 pounds a week, but buff was a fit and vibrant animal, and i could see the fear in his eyes. as hard as it may be, sleep is the best option, and hurts you many thousands of times more than the sleep and relief given to a suffering friend.

i would say that it is both a test and judge of a persons character to accept and deal with it and do the right thing. this cat owner is obviously iether very lonely or very ignored.

the only ones that truely benefit out of this are the vets, in the grand scale of things its a cat, worth no more or no less than a dead fly on the windscreen of a car and i dont see anyone bothered about that, a heart beat is a heartbeat big or small. If the cat owners are happy paying it and the cat is happy then fair enough but a cat even when domesticated is a wild animal in my eyes, they are hunters, so let them die gracefully or put them out of their misery i say.

You can't compare a human life with a cat so no point starting that debate. They do reaserch for human limbs, so doing it to cats is just another money making scheme imo. Anyone can just say "oh but it could benifit humans just to get extra funding". To many but this but that.

Agreed as to the debate, which is why if you re-read my post, you will see that I didn't.

Surely its best to be alive than dead!

I would hazard at a guess many people with false limbs would also agree.

Unless obviously your in constant pain and are truly unhappy.

Also despite what most people think cats only have 1 life not 9:001_rolleyes:

:001_tongue:
