torque settings

hey there, does anyone know what the torque settings are to tighten the finger teeth pocket bolts on my rayco rg13? also is there anyone struggling to get the teeth from suppliers, due to supplier problems?

Nice and tight.

I do mine around the 140ft-lbs mark

Put a long screw driver through the hole in the flywheel (to lock it in position), put an 18 inch extension tube on the half inch allen key then heave till your nose bleeds.

Any less and I guarantee you will throw the teeth out at some point.

Before I used this subtle approach I lost a few and actually shot a tooth through the 3mm curved casing around the flywheel!

Try Westcon in Wimbourne, Dorset - they are one of the biggest suppliers.

tighten til you have to shear the head , getting it off. not.

I was looking at a Challenger rear wheel at they get tightened to 900nm!

 

Bolt size is thy key, an engineering list will give specific torque settings depending on bolt size and thread.
