I use AVG and run cc cleaner now and then. If you're wanting to un install a program you can either go from the windows button to control panel, then programs then select from the list and away you go. Alternatively, If you open up cc cleaner then click on tools then uninstall then you can use that menu to remove programs too.

if not just go to control panel then add and remove programs and do it from there

 

some files dont get deleted this way go in startthen my computer then hard drive normally c drive then program files then find file and delete whole file

If your laptop is only a few weeks old I would assume you have windows 7. If so I would install Avast anti virus and windows defender for the spyware/malware, make sure windows defender is downloaded from the microsoft website, if not it may well cause a lot of problems. Also if you are using a broadband router I would not bother with a software firewall other than the windows one, as this will slow things down further. This is how I run my computer and have no problems at all.

Forgot to add, to un install, click on start, control panel, programs and features (if windows 7), find the program in the list then click on uninstall near the top.
